Today’s recipe is a Far Breton straight from my grandmother’s recipe book.
Far Breton is a traditional cake from Brittany. It is famous for its custardy texture and the common addition of dried plums or raisins. It is similar to a flan.
You can find many recipe variations online, which often suggest adding fruits soaked in rum. You can always vary and change the recipe, but the traditional Far Breton recipe does not include liquor.
